In today’s changing world of the music business, it is now feasible for a band, solo artist or artist manager to set up and run their own Record Label.
With the advent of downloading and lower priced CD replication, a band with a good fan base and the right marketing could successfully and profitably run a music business operation.
This one day seminar will introduce you to much of what’s needed to know about getting started in the music business. It is an intensive course, but classes are kept small to maximise individual attention.
The course is designed to give candidates a basic understanding of how to set up a record label, how it operates and the organisations it has to liaise and work with. An explanation of copyright, licensing and royalties are just a few of the areas discussed.
As many subjects are covered, we understand that it is a lot to take in in such a short time.
